New Music - "Two Birds" by Sahffi & Alberto Salgado
Sahffi Lynne (Baltimore, Maryland, USA), a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory (French horn, 1993), and Alberto Salgado (Brasília, Brazil), two internationally recognized, award-winning songwriters, announce the release of their new collaborative single, “Two Birds,” an uplifting musical offering for peace, inspired by the universal language of music.
Sung primarily in English by Sahffi and interwoven with Portuguese lyrics from Alberto, the song bridges North and South America through music rooted in compassion and hope.
Featuring acoustic guitar performances by both artists, “Two Birds” is enriched with cinematic strings, flute, and Brazilian percussion, creating an expansive and heartfelt soundscape.
Written across cultures, languages, and continents, “Two Birds” draws inspiration from the Indigenous prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor flying together once again; a symbol of balance, reconciliation, and humanity's renewed connection to the Earth and one another.
The creation of “Two Birds” was supported in part by a grant from the Making Her Mark Foundation, whose dedication to support women and nonbinary artists helped bring this cross-cultural collaboration to life.
With its message of peace, “Two Birds” invites listeners into a shared vision of connection, love, and unity beyond borders.

BPS Fundraiser: A Saturday Afternoon at Bill's
The Baltimore Psychedelic Society is so pleased to announce our fantastic Fall fundraising event, happening the afternoon of Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 2- 6 pm. It will take place at the lovely and sprawling West Baltimore home of local psychedelic trailblazer, Bill Richards, who has graciously offered to host this gathering. This ticketed event will include music by Sahffi and Their Family Band, a talk by Bill and his son, Brian Richards, live art by Jessie, catered food and non-alcoholic drink, and games/activities meant to create fun and connection. Fumbling towards enlightenment, truth-seeking, masterful yoga weaver, Stephanie Snyder, leads this class with heart soul and radical embodiment! Students will explore the quiet interior of Self, as we move into winters‘ hibernation. Through movement, yoga, breathing, meditation, journaling, music and participating in playful energy, we will reflecting on ways in which we nourish to flourish. A portion of this class will be to live music with world renown medicine musician Sahffi! Sahffi will also lead us in a community song/prayer at the end.
